Overland Park business leader Clarence “C.T.” Taylor III, owner/operator of Chick-fil-A Oak Park Plaza, has made Kansas history. As first reported by KSHB 41 News, Taylor is currently the only Black Chick-fil-A owner/operator in the state, a milestone that reflects both personal achievement and years of steady community leadership.
To many in Overland Park, C.T. means far more than a business milestone. He consistently supports local schools, nonprofits, and community events that make OP stronger. Through his leadership at Chick-fil-A Oak Park Plaza, he prioritizes service, develops future leaders, and stays deeply involved in the community he calls home.
Before entering the restaurant industry, C.T. served 29 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a colonel. That legacy of leadership and discipline continues to shape how he runs his business today, with a focus on developing people and investing in the next generation.
His story is not just about breaking barriers. It is about consistency, character, and community impact. It is about building something that lasts and lifting others along the way.
We are proud to celebrate C.T.’s milestone and the example he sets across Overland Park and beyond.
Stay tuned. We will be sharing an interview with C.T. soon on our social channels, so make sure you are following All in OP for the full conversation.
