Olathe Public Schools is the second-largest school district in Kansas, serving overing 28,000 students. The district has earned 18 National Blue Ribbon School Awards and is recognized as a top employer, ranking #7 Best In-State Employer in Kansas by Forbes in 2024 and #4 in 2023, making it the highest-ranked K-12 district on the list. Olathe's 4,700+ staff members average 14 years of classroom experience, and the district has been awarded 7 Kansas Teachers of the Year Awards and 20 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching in 2024 - more than any other district in the state. Shawnee Mission School District
Shawnee Mission School District consistently ranks among the top in Kansas, earning an A grade from Niche and placing #5 out of 279 districts. Spring Hill Schools
Spring Hill USD 230 is a rapidly growing district in Johnson and Miami Counties, serving approximately 5,633 students across 11 public schools in the 2024–25 school year. The district ranks among the top 20% of Kansas districts for combined math and reading proficiency—38% proficiency in math and 42% in reading, outperforming state averages. With approximately 343 teachers and an overall student‑teacher ratio of 16:1, Spring Hill USD 230 is well staffed to support student learning.
