On a day like World Autism Awareness Day, it feels especially meaningful to celebrate spaces designed to support, uplift, and empower families in our community.
Last month, Blue Gems ABA officially opened its new Overland Park clinic, marking an important step forward in expanding access to care for children and families in the neurodivergent community.
Located at Overland Park, the new clinic was designed with both connection and individualized support in mind. The space includes open therapy areas that encourage peer interaction, a quiet sensory room for regulation and focus, and a large outdoor playground that brings movement and play into the therapy experience.
Blue Gems ABA began serving families in the Kansas City area in 2023, and this new location reflects the growing need for accessible, high-quality services. But more than that, it represents something deeper. It’s an ongoing commitment to helping children build meaningful skills and supporting families every step of the way.
The grand opening, held in partnership with the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, brought together community members, local leaders, and the Blue Gems team to celebrate the milestone.
“At its core, this space is about creating opportunities for growth, confidence, and connection,” said CEO David Wolf. “We’re proud to continue growing in a way that allows us to better serve families in our community.”
In a place like Overland Park, community support shows up in big and small ways. This new clinic is another example of how resources continue to grow alongside the people who need them.
Having access to thoughtful, local care can make all the difference.
